Step 1: Complete Your Vision Board Workbook / Write Intentional Goals

This is the most critical part of the process. In order to create a board, you need to take intentional time to figure out your true goals and aspirations. Put down the magazines, which only give you random ideas that may fit into your future but will most likely get you distracted. Instead, take time to write down your top goals for the upcoming 12 months. This could be a specific career change, a health goal, financial aspiration, or a particular attitude or mindset. It’s important to write your goal down and be as specific as possible, as this makes it easier to focus on what you need to do to achieve it.

Step 2: Gather Your Tools

Gathering all your tools and setting up a workspace for your vision board assembly is important because it helps to make the process more efficient and enjoyable. Having all the necessary tools and materials on hand will save you time and energy, allowing you to focus on creating your vision board rather than searching for missing items.

Basic Tool List: Board (foam, cork, paper, etc), scissors, glue stick, pen, push pins, graphics, photos, images.

Step 3: Find/Download Your Images, Quotes, Graphics and Inspiration.

Once you have a clear idea of your goals in the workbook, the next step is to gather inspiration. This can be done by collecting pictures, images, quotes, verses and other items that align with your goal and inspire you. It’s important to make sure that the items you choose are relevant to your goal and will help you to visualize it.

Step 4: Assemble Your Board

Once you have collected what you will use, the next step is to create a layout for your dream board. We recommend separating by areas of your life (personal/adventure, professional/career, health/wellness, spiritual/faith, family/relationships, financial/money) so your board is laid out in a functional way. If you are not sure of the exact placement of images, use metal pins so items can be moved around and rearranged easily. Pins also allow you to change it up year round.

Step 5: Display Your Board

Your vision board should be displayed in a place where you will see it often, ideally every day. This will help to keep your goals and aspirations at the forefront of your mind and serve as a constant reminder of what you’re working towards. Some good places to display your vision board include:

1. 1. In your bedroom: This is a great option if you want to see your vision board first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
   2. In your home office or workspace: If you spend a lot of time in your home office or workspace, this is a great place to display your vision board so you can see it while you work.
   3. On your refrigerator: This is a good option if you want to see your vision board multiple times a day, for example when you’re making your breakfast or dinner.
   4. In your living room or common area: If you want to share your vision board with others, displaying it in a living room or common area will be a good option.

Ultimately, the most important thing is to find a place where you will see it often and it will be a constant reminder of your goals and aspirations.

Step 6: Revisit and Revise Throughout the Year

Revisiting and revising your vision board throughout the year is important because it helps to ensure that it stays aligned with your current goals and aspirations.
