AND HOW TO USE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS TO FUEL MORE GROWTH
You’ve just achieved a goal that you had on your vision board…It’s the perfect time to reflect and celebrate your past successes. As Tony Robbins says, “you can only build on past success”. So, let’s dive in.
Celebrating success is an important part of the goal-setting process.
It helps to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that went into achieving a goal, and it can also serve as motivation to set and achieve new goals in the future. Everyone has different ways to celebrate success. Here are a few ways we like to celebrate our successes here at Live Your Dream Board:
- Recognize your accomplishment.
Take a moment to acknowledge and reflect on what you have achieved. Write down your accomplishments and read them out loud to yourself or to a friend or family member. - Treat yourself!
Reward yourself for reaching your goal. Treat yourself to something special, such as a massage, a nice dinner, or a trip. - Share your success.
Share your achievement with friends, family, and colleagues. Share it on social media or write a blog post about it. This will not only allow you to share your good news, but it can also serve as inspiration for others to set and achieve their own goals. - Reflect on the journey.
Take some time to reflect on the journey of achieving your goal. Think about the obstacles you faced, the lessons you learned, and the ways in which achieving this goal has changed you. - Get Creative / Be Spontaneous
REEM KHOKHAR started dancing every day during the pandemic on July 13, 2021. “These weren’t random turn-on-the-music-and-jump-around sessions but were choreographed sequences like moonwalking. My initial goal was to dance for at least five minutes a day. I danced longer most days. The aim was to achieve consistency and see where a year of daily dancing would take me”. There’s a reason for victory dances: moving our bodies new ways promotes confidence and give us energy. Next time you achieve a goal, put on your favorite song and dance. So, yea, dance like no one is watching. - Show Your Appreciation
Celebrate success by including your supporters. You can make a grand gesture or a small one. Gifts to show your appreciation feel so good to give and to get. It tells the person in your corner that they are appreciated. - Set a new goal.
After you’ve celebrated your success, it’s time to set a new goal. Achieving a goal is a great opportunity to set new and ambitious ones to continue the progress.
Celebrate the fact that you went out of your comfort zone and learned something new! Whether it was a success or not is truly how you perceive it. Always celebrate accomplishments – no matter how small. Maybe you discovered that you’re not good at something. That is an accomplishment too!
Celebrating your success is an essential step in the goal-setting process. By recognizing and acknowledging your accomplishments, treating yourself, sharing your success, reflecting on the journey, and setting new goals, you can make the most of your hard work and dedication.
Here’s to Your Celebration!
