Tiny Habit Changes Can Make a BIG Difference in Your Life

Getting You Started on the Road to Success – Using a Vison Board to Help with Those Tiny Habits.

We are huge fans of the book Atomic Habits around here because author James Clear offers a proven framework for improving our lives. Here are the basic steps to small changes that can positively impact your life, as outlined in his book.

    1. Make it obvious
        • Small changes can lead to large changes in behavior.
        • Make sure the cues stand out.
    2. Make it attractive
        • Choose something that will make you happy.
        • You should feel an anticipation to a reward.
    3. Make it easy
        • Use the “2-minutes rule”; the new habit should not take more than 2-minutes.
        • Make it become a ritual.
    4. Make it satisfying
        • Reward yourself.
        • Never miss a new habit twice.

So how do you use a VISION BOARD to change a habit?

Use a section to write down the habit(s) you want to change. Then make a section of how you’re going to do that. Feel free to add a reward section too! Try posting a picture of your reward for extra motivation. It can be anything you want to change.

You might even want to use one of our circular boards for habit changes.  It might help you with the flow of changing a habit. We also give you a guidebook! It’s an “action map” to help you through whatever changes or habits you want to make.

Atomic Habits can be found at your local library and bookstore.
