Vision Board Trend
Have you seen all of the recent posts on social media for “goal setting” and creating ‘Vision Boards’? You may be asking yourself what is a vision board and how do I create it, use it, and implement it into my life? Is it simply a crafting exercise or can it really help me build my vision? Take a look below to learn more about the secret to achieving your goals.
What is a Vision Board?
A vision board (sometimes referred to as a dream board or goal board) is a powerful visualization tool used to define, clarify and maintain focus on one’s goals and aspirations. It is often a collage or a collection of pictures, quotes, and words that represent what you most desire from life. Your vision board can take any shape or form you like, so get creative!
The Power of Goal Setting
Several studies show that the number one most influencing factor in achieving goals is whether the specific goals have been written down. You are several times more likely to be successful if you write them down, have action steps to achievement, and a deadline.
Take some quality time to sit and develop your goals for the next year. Separate out different areas of your life and determine what you would like to see from each of them. Be intentional and specific.
When you create a vision board, you are not only writing down your goals but building a creative display that can be a constant reminder of where you are headed.
